A Spanish-language query about a specific regulatory precedent retrieves relevant English-language EMA documents and Spanish-language AEMPS filings in a single search. (3) Pharma-Domain Chunking -- regulatory dossiers were chunked at the CTD module/section level: Module 2.5 Clinical Overview sections are retrievable units, Module 2.7 Clinical Summaries are indexed at the subsection level, and Module 5 clinical study reports are indexed at the study level with granular access to efficacy tables, safety summaries, and statistical analyses. Regulatory correspondence was chunked at the question-response level: each regulatory authority question and the corresponding applicant response form a retrieval unit, enabling precedent search across the company's complete history of regulatory interactions. (4) Regulatory Precedent Intelligence -- the system identifies regulatory patterns across the company's submission history: what types of questions does the EMA typically raise for specific therapeutic areas, what clinical endpoints have been accepted or challenged, what manufacturing quality issues have led to deficiency letters. This intelligence supports proactive submission strategy rather than reactive document retrieval. (5) Citation-Grounded Responses -- all retrieved information includes specific document references (Veeva document ID, CTD module, section, page) enabling regulatory professionals to access the full source document for detailed review and to cite specific precedents in regulatory submissions.
